Most of the woodwork in HUGUES CHEVALIER furniture is sycamore. However, certain models are also available in wenge and etimohe.



Our sycamore woodwork is available in a range of 7 basic shades of varnish (gloss or satin) but we can also create special shades from samples to match your existing furniture.



We offer you a selection of full grain, semi-aniline leather, in nearly 50 shades, which are permanently in stock, as well as a selection of some thirty shades of nubuck from top quality steer hide.






If you prefer fabrics, you can also select the material which best suits your tastes and the purpose for which your chair will be used. We have an extensive range of creations from the major furnishing fabric producers in France and abroad.

Your furniture must not be placed in direct sunlight or direct moonlight, particularly near patio doors.

Avoid placing it near direct sources of heat such as radiators, fireplaces or stoves.

The leather should be cleaned regularly (at least once a month) to remove the dust from the pores. Use a well-wrung, damp cloth and sponge gently without rubbing hard. Do not use hard water.

Any splashes should be sponged immediately using kitchen roll, without rubbing, to absorb the liquid or grease gently. If the stain does not disappear completely, contact your HUGUES CHEVALIER distributor who will advise you on how to remove that particular type of stain.

About twice a year, clean your sofa or armchair thoroughly using HUGUES CHEVALIER leather shampoo. This cleans and degreases the leather. Then apply the HUGUES CHEVALIER leather cream which moisturises, softens and protects the leather. We recommend that you follow the cleaning instructions on the bottles carefully.

Do not use cleaners which contain lanolin, silicones or solvents.

Special precautions should be taken for aniline and nubuck leathers. Our retail outlets will be pleased to advise on how best to care for them.

We give each article of furniture an individual identification number which corresponds to that on your order. This number is engraved on a copper plate fixed to the sofas and chairs or inscribed in a special position on the other articles of furniture.
